Intervention Tutor

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit strong and reliable intervention tutors, who are able to deliver core subjects (Maths/English) to young people currently not in mainstream school.
The students are currently working at secondary level, mainly at KS3, but may pose some challenging behaviour which mean their level of study is inadequate.

We are looking for tutors who are able to deliver the subjects professionally and patiently, ensuring the needs of the student and criteria for their study is met, whilst also being able to manage any behaviours which may arise. A knowledge or experience of de-escalation techniques and sound reasoning would be preferable.

Students may be required to undergo their tutoring at home, or within a local community building such as a library so a personal mode of transport is essential.

Tutoring usually covers 2 hours per day, 5 days per week during school hours, depending on the requirements of the student.

If you are looking for flexible work and are an experienced tutor, please send us your CV!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
