A vibrant and welcoming co-educational Secondary School in Portsmouth is searching for an enthusiastic Classroom Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone considering a future in teaching or looking to build valuable classroom experience in a supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Classroom Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining learning continuity when teachers are absent. You will:

• Lead classes of students aged 11–16 using pre-prepared lesson plans
• Support students in completing classwork while promoting positive behaviour
• Manage the classroom environment in line with school policies
• Provide additional help to students with special educational needs where required
• Contribute to a calm, purposeful and engaging learning experience for all pupils

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, education graduates, tutors, teaching assistants or those with youth work experience looking to step into a school-based role.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Confidence in managing a classroom and adapting to different subjects
• SEN experience or a willingness to support additional needs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
