ICT Teaching Position - Wigan
ICT Teacher required to cover a long term sickness within one of our key client schools based in Wigan.
This ICT teacher position with our client school is an immediate start and has been outlined to run up until January 2019, however this could be extended due to the nature of the absence.
- ICT teacher required immediately for an teaching position likely to run until January 2019
- Teaching ICT to students in KS3 and KS4
- Must hold QTS - Delivering ICT across the full age, gender and ability range, in a secondary school is essential
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS scale (£22,917 - £38,633)
The Assistant Headteacher who is responsible for recruitment at our client school is looking to meet with candidates as a matter of urgency.
Due to a long term sickness within their ICT department, our client school have an immediate need for an ICT teacher who is confident delivering both ICT lessons to both KS3 and GCSE. The successful applicant will be required to take on full teaching responsibilities including planning and marking and will be available to start this teaching position immediately.
ICT/Computing is a popular subject at the school and pupils behave well within their lessons. The school have found that students are motivated by innovative and engaging lessons and would ideally like to appoint a teacher capable of teaching in this way.
Additional information about our client school;
- Located in Wigan, is only a few miles from the town centre.
- Good transport links to commutable via public transport and is easily accessible via A577/A49.
- This is an average sized Secondary School with around 1054 children aged 11-16 on roll
- The number who speak English as an additional language is slightly lower than the national average.
- Results are improving in the core subjects and pupils make good progress.
