Job Title: Humanities Tutor

Location: South East England, Surrey, Banstead

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £20 - £25 Per hour

Job Description:

As a Humanities Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational support to students in the South East England area. Your primary focus will be on teaching a range of humanities subjects, such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies, to students of all ages and abilities.

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the national curriculum
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to promote learning
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of individual learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant humanities subject

Experience:

At least 2 years of teaching experience in a formal educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, and Religious Studies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Effective classroom management techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field

Working Conditions:

You will work in a classroom or educational setting, following a typical school schedule. Some flexibility may be required to accommodate extra-curricular activities or parent meetings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
