HLTA Opportunities – September Start
Location: Gateshead & Newcastle
Start Date: January 2025
Contract Type: Full-time and Part-time Opportunities Available
Pay: £110 – £120 per day (paid weekly)

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across Gateshead and Newcastle for the new year.

We are working with a number of schools who are still looking to secure confident, reliable, and experienced HLTAs to support their classrooms on both a short-term and long-term basis.

The Role:
As a HLTA, you will be expected to:

• Deliver planned lessons and cover classes where required

• Support teachers with classroom management and intervention delivery

• Work independently with groups or individuals to boost learning

• Contribute to planning and assessment as required

• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent experience in school settings

• Be confident managing whole-class and small-group teaching

• Be reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to new environments quickly

• Be committed to supporting pupil progress and school values

• Have an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
