Job description

Are you a skilled and experienced teaching assistant looking for a flexible and rewarding role in education?
Do you want to make a real difference in the classroom while gaining varied experience across secondary schools?

Teaching Personnel are seeking motivated and professional HLTAs to support secondary schools in Hastings. This role is ideal for those with experience leading learning, managing classrooms, and working independently to support teachers and students.

Your Role

As an HLTA, you’ll:

  • Deliver lessons and learning activities in line with teacher plans

  • Support students with additional needs and intervention programmes

  • Supervise and manage classes, including behaviour management

  • Work with teachers to assess and monitor student progress

  • Provide cover for teachers when required

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds HLTA status (or equivalent experience)

  • Has experience working with children or young people in secondary education

  • Is confident in planning, delivering, and assessing learning

  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
