Teaching Personnel are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting secondary schools across Hastings. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking rewarding, hands-on experience in education — ideal for those considering a future career in teaching or child development.

Your Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll:

  • Support students in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Provide encouragement and guidance to students of all abilities

  • Contribute to the overall progress and wellbeing of pupils

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people (formal or informal)

  • Is patient, caring, and motivated to help others succeed

  • Has good communication and teamwork skills

  • Can adapt quickly to different classrooms and needs

  • Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
