High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Position Available at Ofsted-Graded Good Primary School
Location: Cambridge (CB4)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Ofsted-graded Good Primary School in Cambridge as a High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, including planning, preparation, and assessment.
- Provide targeted support and interventions to students with SEND, both in individual and small group settings, to enable them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular reviews and meetings to monitor and adjust support provision.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
- Lead and supervise classroom activities in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school setting.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 4 Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent.
- Experience supporting students with SEND, including knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive school ethos, where every student is supported to achieve their full potential.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Additional qualifications or training in SEND support or inclusive education.
- Experience working with students with a range of SEND profiles, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and other resources to support students with SEND.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
