HISTORY TEACHER - SHEFFIELD

About the role: A client school Teaching Personnel are working with have a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher of History to join them from September 2019. They are seeking to appoint an inspiring teacher who will play a pivotal role in the progress and drive of this department. You'll be joining the school at an exciting time as the rapid improvements they are gaining momentum. Whether you are at the very start of your teaching career or an experienced practitioner, the school can offer tailored CPD and opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust in due course to suit you.

Please note that a start could be offered for a successful Newly Qualified Teacher.

Information about the school: An 11-18 School based in Central Northumberland and was recently rated 'Good' by Ofsted. High-Level academic performance has been driven by a talented and committed workforce, the hard work of the students, and support from parents and community. They have outstanding learning environments as well as fantastic sports facilities. The buildings reflect the education vision of creating a mature and purposeful educational environment where children of all abilities can learn and thrive.

The Person

  • You will need to be graded a Good to outstanding History Teacher
  • Minimum 1 year's experience of Teaching History is desired - however NQT's would be considered if they can display evidence of previous outstanding classroom practise
  • Excellent work ethic and passion for History
  • Ability to teach History across KS 3 and 4 and KS 5
  • Ready for a step up into responsibility
