The School are looking to appoint an experienced, committed and ambitious Teacher of History who will play a key role in the School's journey towards excellence, to start September 2019.

  • Have the knowledge of the curriculum and be confident in delivering up to GCSE level
  • Be enthusiastic and keen to ensure that the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved.

You will be joining an ambitious and innovative school that are looking for imaginative practitioners to secure positive outcomes for our pupils. The school offer bespoke leadership and professional development opportunities tailored to all stages of your professional career and the path in wish you wish to pursue.

In Years 7-9 the department deliver lessons with themes of political, economic, social and cultural change. Year 7 focus predominantly upon the Anglo-Saxons, The Soviet Union and invaders and settlers in the Norman Conquest. Years 8 and 9 focus upon modern encounters in the new world, the English Civil War and the restoration of the Commonwealth. This is then followed by the French Revolution and Napoleon and the Industrial Revolution. At GCSE the Edexcel specifications are followed, focusing upon medicine through time, Russia and the Soviet Union, British America and the rebellion and disorder under the Tudors.
