History Teacher - Teacher of History

  • Full time teaching position from September 2017. KS3 and GCSE
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,467 - £38,250 per annum)

A large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in the Worsley region of Salford have a requirement for a teacher of History in the new academic year. The incoming History teacher will work on a full time basis across both KS3 and GCSE.

It is essential that the appointed teacher of History has previous experience teaching pupils across the ability range, and can display examples of innovative and engaging practice.

- Full time position, initially on a temporary basis for one term

- Opportunity to obtain a fixed term contract from January 2018

- Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,467 - £38,250 per annum)

- Located towards the north of Salford, accessible via public transportation links

- Brand new building with state of the art facilities

With a Progress 8 score of +0.11, the school have consistently achieved grades slightly above the national average. The school currently has over 1,000 pupils on roll making it larger than average, and the building was recently completely refurbished meaning the incoming teacher of History will have access to state of the art facilities.

The location of the school means that there is direct links from neighbouring areas due to being close to the A580 (Wigan, Bolton and Trafford). Public transportation links from the city centre provide a route to the school, and there is a train station nearby.
