History Teacher - September 2019

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Roman Catholic Secondary school that is located within the Bolton LEA to recruit a History teacher for a role starting in September 2019.

  • Full-time History teaching position required to start in September 2019
  • Temporary position in the first instance however there is a permanent contract to be earned
  • Teachers applying for this role can be expected to be paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities included for this role
  • Staff car parking available for teaching staff working at the school

This is an excellent opportunity for a History teacher to secure a role within a proud Roman Catholic Secondary school from September. Whilst the initial employment is being advertised on a temporary basis there is an open gap within the schools Humanities department meaning there will be an opportunity to earn a permanent contract later in the year.

In the schools most recent Ofsted report they had been awarded an overall grading of 'Good', the following highlights summarise the school and the type of environment that you will be working in;

"Students' behaviour in lessons is exemplary"

"Teaching and learning are consistently good"

"Students are very engaged and Religious Education provision is a strength of the school"

The school is a relatively small school with around 860 students on roll. With the school being a Roman Catholic school it is important that you show respect for religious and moral values and an attitude of tolerance and understanding towards other religions, races and ways of life. Located in Bolton the school is just a short drive from the M61 motorway; alternatively the public transport links are very accessible to the surrounding areas, Bury, Rochdale, Manchester and Wigan.

The school will be starting the interview process in the coming days so for immediate consideration please send an updated CV to Zack via the link below or for further information.
