Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate should have a profound understanding of history and the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4. As a History Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in developing students' knowledge and critical thinking skills while instilling a deep appreciation for historical events and cultures.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and guidelines.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and discussion.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and comprehensive History program.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support the wider school community.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in History or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
  • Relevant teaching experience at Key Stages 3 and 4, ideally within the UK education system.
  • A passion for History and the ability to inspire and engage students in the subject.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
