Are you a qualified History teacher looking for a new role, new challenge or new environment?

A Cheshire school rated Good by Ofsted is currently looking to appoint a successful History teacher dedicated to providing high quality learning to its pupils in order to ensure all students have the best opportunity possible to achieve their potential.

The school seeking the History teacher is committed to ensuring all pupils achieve their potential by reinforcing high standards with regards to teaching and learning, as well as pupil attitude to learning within the classroom. This school is one that values a caring and inclusive approach that encourages everyone to make a positive contribution to the common good. Located close to the A34 and A54, the school is easily accessible from anywhere in the South Manchester and Cheshire East area by car, but also has adequate bus links if travelling from areas around Macclesfield or Holmes Chapel.

Teaching History at KS3, you would be covering a range of topics including: The Battle of Hastings, The English Civil War, both World Wars, The Crusades, The Elizabethan Era, The Fall of the British Empire, The Assassination of Kennedy, and Hiroshima. At KS4, the school follows the AQA syllabus and covers a depth study of the USA in the 20th century (1920s boom years, 1930s Great Depression, WW2 and conflict in Asia up to the Vietnam War) and a breadth study of English medieval history and the life and death of the British Empire.
