Are you a History graduate looking to work in a secondary school prior to starting a teacher training programme or similar?

Our client school in Oldham are looking to provide additional support to their Key Stage 4 cohort in the run up to examinations, and would to appoint an enthusiastic History graduate to work with their students in the aim of boosting results.

- Earn ÂŁ275 - ÂŁ300 a week working as a History graduate teaching assistant

- Support students in your subject specialism during post

- Gain the necessary experience to help advance your career working in education

- May 2018 start date, full time position until end of the year - potential to continue

- Short distance from local tram stop, easily accessible via M60 motorway

This is an exciting opportunity for any future History teachers looking to gain experience working in a secondary school setting and to learn from experienced and skilled History teachers, prior to starting a PGCE or similar teacher training programme. The incoming History graduate will work as a specific History teaching assistant and will be responsible for helping facilitate the learning of Year 10 and 11 students in the run up to GCSE examinations at the end of this academic year. The successful History teaching assistant will hold responsibility for providing support in the classroom alongside teaching staff as well responsible for delivering revision and booster sessions to small groups of students during lunch times in the aim of boosting results.

Our client school is a large, well facilitated secondary school situated on the outskirts of Manchester in the Oldham borough. The school was founded when two local schools merged to pool resources and provide students in the local community the best opportunity to succeed in education. The school is housed in a state of the art educational facility in which students and staff can benefit from the very best in resources and technology to enhance teaching and learning.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
