Teaching Personnel are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of schools throughout South Yorkshire. We have a variety of exciting opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term placements.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You may be required to deliver pre-planned lessons, lead small-group interventions, provide targeted support to pupils and work alongside teachers to ensure pupils achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities may include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and learning activities.
- Supporting pupils across a range of abilities and needs.
- Leading small-group and targeted intervention sessions.
- Providing effective classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Working closely with teachers and other school staff.
- Assisting with assessment and monitoring pupil progress.
- Providing cover for teachers when required.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or within a school setting.
- Be confident supporting and, where required, leading learning activities.
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- Be adaptable and able to work across different schools and year groups.
- Have a positive, professional and proactive approach.
- Be passionate about supporting children and young people to succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
