Location: North Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Level 3 Teaching Assistant Opportunity – North Sheffield

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive schools across North Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate education professionals looking for an immediate start or a position from September 2026.

We are looking for adaptable and nurturing individuals who can support pupils across the classroom, work alongside teaching staff, and contribute to creating positive and engaging learning environments.

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom environment
  • Working with individuals and small groups to support learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Supporting children with additional needs where required
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents/carers

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent relevant qualification).

Successful candidates will ideally have:

  • Experience working within a school or educational setting
  • Confidence supporting pupils across different age groups and abilities
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting learning
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
