Level 2 Teaching Assistant Opportunity – North Sheffield
Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive schools across North Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate education professionals looking for an immediate start or a position from September 2026.
We are looking for adaptable and nurturing individuals who can support pupils across the classroom, assist teaching staff, and help create positive and engaging learning environments.
The Role
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom environment
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to support progress and development
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Supporting pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Providing additional support to pupils where required
- Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents/carers
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent relevant qualification).
Successful candidates will ideally have:
- Experience working within a school or educational setting
- Confidence supporting pupils across different ages and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude to supporting learning
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
