Are you an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Sheffield? Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting motivated Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary schools throughout Sheffield.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate looking to gain experience in education, or someone looking for flexible work alongside other commitments, we can help you find a role that suits you.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant working through Teaching Personnel, you could support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in a range of primary school settings. Opportunities include day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term placements, as well as permanent positions.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
  • Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
  • Supporting classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
  • Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and development
  • Working closely with teachers and other school staff

We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children is desirable
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring and positive approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • The flexibility to work across different school environments
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not always essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
