Are confident and caring teaching assistant who has a passion for working with children in an alternative education setting?

We have an opportunity for you to work in the Wirral area. The school is split over two sites which are just 3 miles apart. The school thinks very highly of pupils and had great expectations of them, they push them to achieve the best they can.

The school are currently looking for teaching assistants who have lots of resilience and can work to build strong relationships with the students, they need to be relatable and set good examples to the pupils.

  • Hours/Days: Monday-Friday, 8.00am-3.00pm (Term-Time only)
  • Start date- As soon as possible.
  • Specialist provision- Wirral
  • Pay- Competitive rate £11.85-£12.87 per hour.

The leadership team aim to support the children who attend the school and push them to reach their full potential by supporting them in any way they can, they build strong bonds that are built on trust, enabling students to feel comfortable and break down any barriers they may have towards learning.

The school received a GOOD rating from Ofsted. Pupils trust staff and therefore always work hard to push themselves too as they understand how much staff believe in their potential and support them to achieve. Students who attend the school have all faced troubles whilst being in mainstream schools. The teachers work hard to break down any barriers they have towards learning.

The ideal teaching assistant would be somebody who has worked with children with SEMH before and will be able to support them 1-1. They will be caring and compassionate and able to assist them in their day and encourage them to achieve to the best of their ability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
