Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic and a committed teaching assistant to work within a Primary setting. Ideally we are looking for candidates that have experience within a educational setting and have a high experience of working with children.

The role:

The role of the HLTA is to support the class teacher with learning and teaching within the classroom. As a HLTA, the role has additional responsibilities which would include covering classes in the absence of the class teacher.

The qualities that we are looking for:

•              Recent Teaching Assistant experience within a school

•              Confident teaching KS1 and KS2 curriculum

•              Reliable, passionate and personable

•              Conducting observations and providing feedback to staff and parents

•              A good command of the English language – written and oral

•              Excellent communication and organisational skills

•              Ability to build and maintain solid relationships with staff and students

Successful candidates will be required to have the following minimum NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools or is degree qualified.
