Job description
Teaching Personnel Liverpool are seeking strong, experienced, and dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our team for the new academic year starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators who are looking to make a positive impact in secondary schools across Liverpool. We welcome applications from both full-time and part-time candidates, as well as individuals seeking flexible working opportunities.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Ensuring a safe, positive, and productive learning environment
- Supporting students with their work and encouraging engagement
- Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Building positive relationships with students and staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Confidence leading a classroom independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- A genuine passion for education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
