The Role:

You’ll be responsible for supervising classes of students and ensuring they complete the work that has been set for them by the absent teacher. This is a crucial, non-teaching role that involves managing classroom dynamics, maintaining a positive learning environment, and helping students to stay on task.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise secondary school classes during the short-term absence of a teacher.
• Manage student behaviour effectively and in line with school policy.
• Ensure students complete the work that has been set for them.
• Provide general support to students and answer their questions as needed.
• Report back to the class teacher or Head of Department on the lesson's progress.
• Uphold the school's high standards and values.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to work on your own initiative and remain calm under pressure.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
