1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Primary School | Great Yarmouth
Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Pay: £80 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term opportunities available
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a welcoming primary school in Great Yarmouth.
This role involves providing dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil, helping them access the curriculum and supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school day. The position would suit someone patient, supportive, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support for a pupil within the classroom environment
- Support the pupil with learning activities set by the teacher
- Help the pupil stay engaged and focused during lessons
- Adapt activities where necessary to meet the pupil’s needs
- Support the pupil’s emotional, social, and behavioural development
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff
- Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or support setting
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
