Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) 

Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Pay: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term opportunities available

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support primary schools across Great Yarmouth and the surrounding Norfolk area.

This role is ideal for experienced teaching assistants or qualified HLTAs who are confident supporting teachers, leading small group interventions, and occasionally covering lessons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons
  • Lead small group or whole-class learning activities
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Provide support for pupils with additional learning needs where required

Requirements

  • HLTA qualification or significant classroom experience
  • Experience working within a primary school setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
