Head of Science – Exciting Leadership Opportunity in Northampton
Start Date: September (Next Academic Year)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Northampton to recruit an exceptional Head of Science for the next academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, dedicated, and inspiring science educator to lead a dynamic department and make a real impact on the lives of young learners.

The school is known for its supportive leadership, inclusive ethos, and commitment to high academic standards. As Head of Science, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and motivating a team of passionate science teachers across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will drive the delivery of an engaging and challenging science curriculum, ensure high-quality teaching and learning, and foster a positive learning environment that supports pupil progress and achievement.

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant teaching experience in science

  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire both staff and students

  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Is committed to continuous school improvement and professional development
