Here at Teaching Personnel I am currently looking to recruit a number of University graduates to work in one my Secondary School clients, in the Leeds area. There is work on a daily basis assisting pupils within lessons on a 1:1/small group basis. This could be a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant role.

One of our partner schools in Leeds is looking for compassionate individuals with excellent communication skills to join their supportive pastoral team. This position is initially temporary to start with but there are always opportunities for the right candidate to become permanent. This school strives to provide children with a fun and enjoyable learning experience and needs a teaching assistant to support them in sustaining this goal. The school is currently in a state of rapid improvement and it is a very exciting time to be a part of the school as they have lots of opportunities to work across the trust.

Responsibilities of the successful Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide support to the whole class, small groups and 1:1 across KS3 and KS4
  • Encourage children to complete their work to the best of their ability
  • Increase children's self-esteem by pointing out the good in their work
  • Support the class teacher to deliver exciting lessons
  • Behaviour management throughout the school day

What I need from you:

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude to support learning
  • Experience working with young children
  • A caring and nurturing personality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A child workforce only enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)

At Teaching Personnel I work very closely with a range of secondary schools across Leeds, Kirklees and Wakefield giving you lots of different opportunities and roles to make sure you have guaranteed daily work. If you require any further information on the above post, please do not hesitate to send an updated and current CV at the Leeds Bradford Secondary Branch to apply today!
