Graduate Teaching Roles - Future Teachers
Tameside

Are you a recent graduate thinking of studying a PGCE in the near future?
Do you have previous experience in a role supporting young people?

Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school in Tameside to aid them with their recruitment for Teachers and support staff. We have a number of roles suited to Graduates that would be able to experience, helping you take your first steps into a very exciting and rewarding career in education. You will have the opportunity to gain teaching experience within our partner in a number of various roles including:

  • Working within the classroom, supporting the teachers' lesson plan and assisting pupils with any questions they have with work and offering guidance within your specialist subject area
  • Ensuring the school's code of conduct is followed and delivering effective behaviour management for pupils within and outside the classroom
  • Working together with the department and supporting the teachers with planning, delivery and marking of classwork and homework in your specialist subject area
  • Supporting pupils with any additional needs they may have, whether these are SEN, behaviour or learning related

Our partner school is an oversubscribed, 11-16, mixed comprehensive school and is situated in Tameside to the east of Manchester and is close to the borders with Stockport and the Peak District. The school offers excellent facilities, a friendly and supportive environment and opportunities for professional development. The school have built a culture where staff feel valued and supported. The Head Teacher recognises the benefits of staff working in a productive, healthy and flourishing workplace, and staff work hard to ensure the wellbeing of everyone.

In November 2017, Ofsted judged our partner school as continuing to be 'Good' and the school is moving from strength to strength. Examination results have improved dramatically over the last few years and this year, 77% of the schools students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and maths. Progress in English and Mathematics is consistently above national averages and their Progress 8 figure is above the national average and in the top third of schools nationally.
