Salary: £1100 - £1200

Are you an enthusiastic graduate considering a career in teaching?

Would you like to gain practical paid work experience to help you decide if teaching is the career for you?

If so, we want to hear from you!

Teaching Personnel are looking for graduates of English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Languages to join our Future Teachers Programme this academic year. The Future Teachers programme was designed to help address the teacher shortage across England & Wales by attracting bright graduates who are considering a career in teaching but wish to gain paid practical experience before enrolling in initial teacher training.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be introduced to a local secondary school to support for up to one academic year in your department of specialism. Giving you the experience and confidence needed to progress on to formal Teacher Training.

Within the department, graduates will:

  • Help raise attainment through one-to-one and small group interventions in your subject specialism
  • Offer in class subject specialist support
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation
  • Deliver cover supervision

Schools taking part in the programme have the opportunity to enrol graduates onto their own Teacher Training programme or help them onto a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE).
