Graduate Teaching Assistant Programme

Our Future Teachers programme was created to address the staffing shortages across the UK for qualified teachers as well as increase the number of graduates moving into teacher training programmes in the near future. Teaching Personnel work alongside our partner secondary schools, many of which have their own training providers, links to SCITT programmes or work with Universities.

Across our Liverpool branch, we support schools across Liverpool, The Wirral and surrounding areas in Merseyside for their Future Teachers’ requirements and help in the appointment of a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants to fill the places on the Future Teachers programme for each academic year.

Whilst on the Future Teachers programme and working at one of our client schools, you will be assigned to work within a specific department suited to your knowledge and experience to ensure you’re able to facilitate the learning of the students as effectively as possible. The role will consist of providing classroom support alongside a designated teacher, providing small booster and revision sessions to identified students, tutoring individual students on areas they need to develop as well as potentially covering lessons in the absence of teaching staff alongside a pre-planned lesson plan. You will also be expected to ensure students are adhering to the school’s behaviour policy and ethos.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
