Graduate Teaching Assistant - Orrell

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting graduates teaching assistants on behalf of our client secondary school located in Wigan.

Whether you are looking to gain further experience as a teaching assistant or are working towards securing a place on a teacher training course in the future, this is the ideal opportunity to work within an excellent secondary school from September 2019.

  • Full time and part time graduate teaching assistant positions available from September 2019
  • Ideal opportunity for any graduates considering a career as a teaching assistant or for those wanting to go on to complete a teacher training course
  • Earn between ÂŁ1000 - ÂŁ1200 per month whilst gaining invaluable experience towards a career in secondary education

** Applicants will are required to be educated to degree level and will ideally be looking to pursue a career as a secondary teacher in the future ***

The Headteacher of our client school in Wigan wish to appoint a number of additional teaching assistants who can help support pupils in preparation for their summer examinations.

Graduate teaching assistant job responsibilities;

  • Support pupils who struggle to engage within lessons and require additional support within their studies
  • Provide KS3 and GCSE tuition sessions across a range of subjects including Maths, English, Science and Humanities
  • Lead small classes and deliver pre set revision resources
  • Track and monitor the progress made by pupils within sessions and feedback to senior management

Situated in Orrell, the school is on the outskirts of Wigan town centre making it easily accessible via car or public transport from the surrounding areas; Skelmersdale, Chorley, Standish & Ashton-in-Makerfield. It is also a short drive away from the Merseyside areas.
