This primary school based in LS14 - Is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. Each year the school works closely with Teaching Personnel to build a small team of Teaching Assistants to join their SEN Interventions team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be afforded the opportunity to grow and develop throughout the academic year mastering the teaching assistant role and building the knowledge and skills that will set you up for success with your future teacher training.

This is the Leeds Primary School really embraces the nurture and development of Graduate Teaching Assistants on a pathway into teaching.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be tasked with supporting the class teacher and providing high levels of academic tuition to small groups of students of varying abilities both in and out of the class. You will gain experience supporting special educational needs and after mastering the teaching assistant role you will build your responsibilities up to helping with planning and delivering short lessons.

School experience is not essential but some experience supporting children will hold you in good stead.
