Are you a University Graduate looking for a career within education?

If the above questions apply to you then a great opportunity has just become available for after the Easter break. A South Manchester Primary school in the Wythenshawe (M22) area is searching for a graduate Teaching Assistant to begin working across Key Stage 2 on a full time basis to being in September for the next academic year. The school has asked Teaching Personnel to help with the recruitment process in order to get a feel for the best possible candidate.

The South Manchester Primary school in the Wythenshawe (M22) area has been graded "GOOD" in their most recent Ofsted report but is making all the relevant strides towards "outstanding". In their most recent Ofsted report it reads "Although the overall quality of teaching is good, it is not yet consistently outstanding. This is the main reason why pupils' achievement across the school is also good, rather than outstanding". The school has already begun putting interventions in place to ensure all the teaching is brought up to an outstanding level. One of the interventions they have brought in is with the introduction of graduate teaching assistants for the start of the next academic year to be utilised across different year groups in an effort to boost the results within the school.

The role will involve leading small intervention groups of around 4-6 pupils in Reading, Writing and Maths across the key stage 2 year groups. The small groups will differentiate between lower and higher ability pupils. The role will also involve general teaching assistant work of supporting the class teachers in class across the year groups. Previous experience within key stage 2 is highly sought after however it is not necessary.
