Are you a recent University Graduate wishing to embark upon a secondary teacher training programme in the future?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large Secondary academy in Bury. The school are currently looking to obtain a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team for after the October half term break.
This position is perfect for a recent Graduate who is hoping for a future career in Secondary teaching, as it will provide experience before entering into a teacher training programme. This experience will enhance future teacher training applications, and could result in a direct placement with the client school.
- Graduates of all specialisms are welcome to apply for this position.
- Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant position available after October half term 2019.
- Working alongside the class teacher, and supporting students in classes.
- Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Gain invaluable experience prior to beginning teacher training/PGCE
- Dependent on previous experience, earn up to GBP300 per week.
With over 1000 pupils, the school is in need of extra staff to guarantee students are supported and that teachers also have the help they require in the classroom.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant within our client school, responsibilities will include:
- Working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within the subject specialism.
- Supporting the class teacher and covering lessons in the absence of the teacher.
- Delivering intervention sessions to raise overall pupil attainment.
Located in the Bury area, our client school can be accessed via the M66 and A56. For non-drivers, there are forms of public transportation with links to the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester including Bolton, Salford and Rochdale.
