An opportunity has arisen at a school in Warrington. The role is specifically for graduates, looking to develop the necessary skills required in order to pursue a career in teaching and education. Please note that as this is a graduate role, the required applicant will be educated to at least degree level as a minimum requirement. We welcome applications from those who have also worked with children in a youth/community setting, as well as those who have experience within the realm of Sports Coaching. The main focus of this position is offering support to teaching staff, mainly through ensuring that students are fully focused on the tasks set. It is essential the required applicant has a confident demeanour, and is able to competently manage large groups of children. Being able to work with pupils on an individual basis is also important.  The role will begin after the Easter break, and will run until the academic year. There may be potential for this position to run into the new academic year in September.

Key aspects of this role are as follows:

  • Managing children across a wide range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Working in partnership with teaching staff to prepare adequate educational resources, as well as identifying students who may require extra guidance.
  • Ensuring that students with SEN are effectively catered for, as well as pupils whose primary language may not necessarily be English.
  • Gaining extensive classroom experience, across a wide range of subjects. This is crucial in the development of the applicant’s knowledge of how teachers approach the learning process in different areas.
  • Working in line with school policy to ensure that behaviour expectations and effectively met in line with school policy. Additionally, understanding the need to work in line with recommendations made by Ofsted is also imperative.
  • Pay - GBP275-350 per week, based on previous experience.

The school is located in Warrington, situated between Manchester and Liverpool. The school’s location means that it is easily accessible for those that drive, owing to the M6 and M62 motorways being close by. Additionally, there are numerous public transport links within close proximity to the school itself.
