Level 3 Teaching Assistant Needed!
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
Start Date: 13th April
A fabulous private located in Portsmouth known for its academic excellence, culture of character-building, and broad co‑curricular life is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team!
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a highly regarded independent school environment working with upper Key Stage 2 pupils.
The Role
This is a long-term role where you will work alongside classroom teachers to enhance the overall learning experience for pupils within this school across Year 5 and 6. You will provide individual and small group support, adapting learning activities to meet the diverse needs of the pupils.
Overall, you will:
- Support Teaching and Learning
- Monitor and Assess Student Progress
- Prepare Learning Activities
- Support Social and Emotional Well-being
- Communicate with Parents and Professionals
- Assist in Classroom Management
Who We Are Looking For
- Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant (not Early Years specific) is essential
- Passionate, dedicated, and motivated to supporting pupils learning
- Experience working across upper KS2 levels
Working Hours / Benefits

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
