Graduate Teaching Assistant - Oldham

Are you a recent graduate looking for your first role within education? Are you passionate about the education of young people?

Teaching Personnel, the market leader of education recruitment, are currently working alongside one of our client schools in Oldham who are looking to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team of support staff. This is an exciting role that is due to start in February 2019 and lasting until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

  • Full time Teaching Assistant post from February 2019
  • Until the end of the academic year in the first instance
  • Earn up to £325 per week
  • Gain paid classroom experience

Our client school is based in the Chadderton area of Oldham, and is an 'Outstanding' rated 11-16 academy with an excellent reputation in the local community. Located just a short drive from the M60 motorway, this mixed comprehensive secondary school is easily accessible from a range of different areas across North Manchester.

Working as a Teaching Assistant at our client school, you will be involved in supporting a number of students across the range of different subjects that they encounter. This will be both on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups. Ensuring students can access the work during their lessons is a key aspect of being a Teaching Assistant, as well as good behaviour management and being able to communicate well with a range of different learners. The students that the ideal candidate will be supporting may have specific Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a range of SEMH complexities.
