Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm
Pay: £420–£500 per week
Start Date: September 2025

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Newport. Ideal for those considering teaching or educational psychology careers, this role offers hands-on experience and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in lessons and with classroom organisation
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils needing extra help
• Encourage pupil engagement and confidence
• Assist with literacy, numeracy, and behaviour management

Requirements:

• Degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology or similar
• Experience working with children (voluntary/personal/professional)
• Strong communication, patience, and a proactive attitude
• DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• EWC registration (or willingness to register)
