Graduate Teaching Assistant – Macclesfield
Location: Secondary School, Macclesfield
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (flexibility available)
Contract: Term Time Only

About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your role will be to support teaching and learning in the classroom, help manage student behaviour, and provide focused support to individual pupils or small groups. Responsibilities include:

Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities

Offering one-to-one or small group support, particularly for students with additional learning needs
-
Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment
-
Supporting students in reaching their academic and personal development goals

Helping manage classroom behaviour and routines
Person Specification:
We are looking for graduates who:

Have prior experience working with children or in a school setting
-
Are confident, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting young people
-
Communicate effectively and collaborate well with staff
-
Build strong, positive relationships with students
-
Understand and follow safeguarding procedures
-
Show initiative and problem-solving abilities in a classroom environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
