Graduate Teaching Assistant – Bolton

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive and welcoming secondary school in Bolton seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, build confidence in the classroom and make a real difference to young people’s education.

The Role

• Support pupils in lessons, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Work closely with the SEN department to help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote a supportive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

• A recent graduate with a degree in any subject.
• Considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, counselling or youth work.
• Confident, adaptable and passionate about supporting young people.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location: Bolton
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Pay: £93 - £100 per day
