Graduate Teaching Assistant - Bolton

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for graduate teaching assistants ahead of September on behalf of a number of our client secondary schools located in the Bolton LEA.

This is a great opportunity for graduate teaching assistants to gain paid work experience in a secondary school setting which will be invaluable if working towards securing a place on a teacher training course in the future.

The role;

• Full and part-time graduate teaching assistant positions available from September 2019
• Supporting secondary aged pupils (11-16) prepare for examinations and covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Earn between £1000 - £1200 per month whilst gaining invaluable experience towards a career in secondary education
• Must hold hold or be willing to apply for a DBS that is registered to the update service.

Graduate teaching assistant job responsibilities;

• Support pupils who struggle to engage within lessons and require additional support within their studies
• Provide KS3 and GCSE tuition sessions across a range of subjects including Maths, English, Science and Humanities
• Lead small classes and deliver pre-set revision resources
• Track and monitor the progress made by pupils within sessions and feedback to senior management.
• Provide lesson cover in the absence of the main classroom teacher
