Programme Overview
Year One: Cover Supervisor Role
- Duration: September 2026 – August 2027
- Salary: £22,500 – £25,000
- Focus: Intensive training & mentorship
- Experience: Classroom experience & observation
Year Two: Teacher Training Placement
- Duration: September 2027 – July 2028
- Salary: Continued salary support
- Focus: Work towards QTS
- Outcome: Qualified Teacher Status
Year One: Cover Supervisor with Full Training Support
Your Role: Spend your first year as a paid Cover Supervisor, gaining invaluable classroom experience while receiving comprehensive teacher training.
Your Development:
- Regular training sessions covering lesson planning, behaviour management, assessment, and safeguarding
- Dedicated one-to-one mentorship and coaching
- Opportunities to observe and learn from experienced teachers
- Gradual development of classroom confidence and teaching skills
- Support from a collaborative school community
Your Earnings:
- Competitive salary: £22,500 – £25,000 (based on qualifications and experience)

Year Two: Formal Teacher Training
Your Progression: Move into formal teacher training while continuing to earn a salary, working towards Qualified Teacher Status.
Your Outcome:
- Achieve QTS by July 2028
- Secure a permanent teaching position within our trust

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
