Programme Overview

Year One: Cover Supervisor Role

• Duration: September 2026 – August 2027
• Salary: £22,500 – £25,000
• Focus: Intensive training & mentorship
• Experience: Classroom experience & observation

Year Two: Teacher Training Placement

• Duration: September 2027 – July 2028
• Salary: Continued salary support
• Focus: Work towards QTS
• Outcome: Qualified Teacher Status

Year One: Cover Supervisor with Full Training Support

Your Role: Spend your first year as a paid Cover Supervisor, gaining invaluable classroom experience while receiving comprehensive teacher training.

Your Development:

• Regular training sessions covering lesson planning, behaviour management, assessment, and safeguarding
• Dedicated one-to-one mentorship and coaching
• Opportunities to observe and learn from experienced teachers
• Gradual development of classroom confidence and teaching skills
• Support from a collaborative school community

Your Earnings:

• Competitive salary: £22,500 – £25,000 (based on qualifications and experience)

Year Two: Formal Teacher Training

Your Progression: Move into formal teacher training while continuing to earn a salary, working towards Qualified Teacher Status.

Your Outcome:

• Achieve QTS by July 2028
• Secure a permanent teaching position within our trust
