Graduate Teacher Internship

Are you a Graduate looking to explore a career in teaching?

Teaching Personnel offer Graduates the opportunity to gain paid work experience, through our ‘Future Teachers programme”.

The programme is essentially a paid internship in a local school and is designed to offer graduates the chance to build their experience ahead of completing a teacher training course in the near future.

• Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Paid work experience as a Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor
• Opportunity to work closely with the department of your chosen subject.
• Training and CPD opportunities available.

Opportunities can include flexible work in a number of local secondary schools, exploring varying roles or fixed term placements either as a Graduate Teaching Assistant or a Cover Supervisor for those with an outgoing nature.

The introduction to work will be fully supported by Teaching Personnel with training opportunities available to all candidates and a tailored work schedule for each applicant.

A significant proportion of you work will be based around your specialist subject with a primary focus on raising pupil attainment however other responsibilities will include; supporting special needs pupils, covering classes, assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and delivering small group tuition sessions.

This will support any future applications to a teacher training programme but also offer you the opportunity to work in a placement school that will have links to their own training programmes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
