SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to fill a full time role in a single form entry primary school located in Ely. This role would be starting in June and would involve working with a KS2 pupil with ASC on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day.

Position:

· Supporting a year 6 pupil with ASC and mild challenging behaviour

· You will work with the Teacher to plan and deliver bespoke 1:1 intervention sessions to raise attainment to age-related expectations.

· Be responsible for the pupils behaviour in class and take them out to the nurture room if necessary.

· Liaise with the Teacher, SENDCO and parents to report progress.

Requirements:

· Have experience working with primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis

· Hold either a degree or a teaching assistant qualification

· Hold a valid up to date clean DBS check on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
