Future Teachers Programme

If you have a desire to start a career in teaching and have recently graduated, Teaching Personnel may be the perfect option for you! With a number of graduate teaching roles across Oldham and the north of Manchester, we can help you gain valuable experience while getting paid around a work schedule that suits you.

  • Teaching assistant and cover supervisor jobs in the Oldham and North Manchester area
  • Get paid whilst you gain experience
  • Paid weekly - up to ÂŁ65 a day
  • Must have own transport or be willing to commute via public transport

While employed through Teaching Personnel you will be automatically enrolled onto our Future Teachers Programme a scheme developed to address the nationwide shortage of teachers, assisting schools find quality graduates as well as helping support and develop graduates into the successful teachers of tomorrow. This is a comprehensive scheme which will enable Graduate Teaching Assistants to start their teacher training programmes with an advanced skill-set and comfortability working with students of mixed ages and abilities.

Through the Future Teacher programme you will be employed on a full-time basis within the school, with full support from the school department as well as from your personal consultant from Teaching Personnel. This gives you every opportunity to further develop your skills and gain valuable experience that you can later utilize in a career as a Teacher You will perform a wide variety of roles, supporting the teaching in class as well as helping raise attainment of pupils through group work and on a 1 to 1 basis, this will also supporting special needs, covering classes, assisting with planning, preparing lessons and developing schemes of work.

Working as a cover supervisor or teaching assistant is an excellent way to gain valuable experience for aspiring teachers, giving you a taste of what it feels like to work in a secondary school setting as well as earning money with the opportunity to network and learn.

Due to the many jobs available with Teaching Personnel your work days will be varied, and interesting. Whether you are working as a cover supervisor, covering long or short term teacher absences, or helping a teacher by delivering support to students as a teaching assistant. There are many different opportunities for you depending on your experience and aspirations, all whilst working on a flexible basis, in the Oldham and North Manchester area.
