Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Graduates looking for a career in education to work as Cover Teachers or Cover Supervisors in Secondary Schools in the area. Are you a graduate looking for paid experience before applying for your teacher training? Do you need the experience in schools as a graduate before you can apply for your teacher training? Would you like to work in schools as a Graduate Cover Supervisor?
If you're looking to gain experience for a Teacher Training application, if you would like flexible work working with young people in a range of educational settings, we can help! We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you are a graduate and have a background and/or degree in English, Maths or Science, or years of professional experience working with youth. However, we are also considering applications from graduates from any backgrounds and with no experience.
The role of the Cover Supervisor (Cover Teacher) is to provide daily support in schools working with young people. Often, you will be providing relief for permanent members of staff. Using work set by the absent class teacher, you would supervise the class and support groups students to guide them through set learning objectives. You will need the confidence and presence to manage and control whole classroom and small group behaviour. You will also need to possess a positive can-do attitude, flexibility to adapt and work in a variety of different schools/environments and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and adults alike.
In return, Teaching Personnel are able to offer a competitive daily wage of up to GBP15 per hour (depending on your qualifications and experience), support and advice from an experienced team of specialist education recruitment consultants and regular opportunities for training and personal development. We have built up trusting and long-standing relationships with many schools in the area over a number of years, many of whom may look to offer outstanding candidates teacher training places in the future.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
