Graduate Cover Supervisor
Location: Tees Valley
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £85- £100 per day, depending on experience
Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience in education before pursuing a career in teaching? Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and motivated graduates for Cover Supervisor roles in secondary schools across the region, starting this September.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of a teacher, delivering pre-prepared lesson material and maintaining a positive learning environment. It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop classroom management skills, build confidence, and gain first-hand experience of school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans to classes across a range of subjects
- Manage student behaviour and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment
- Support students with their learning and encourage classroom engagement
- Report back to teaching staff and contribute to the wider school team
What We’re Looking For:
- A recent graduate (any subject) with a passion for working with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A confident and proactive approach to managing a classroom
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
