Graduate cover supervisor - Looking to start your teacher training next year?
Are you a graduate looking to begin a teacher training course in the future? Are you looking to gain further experience working within a secondary school prior to beginning your UCAS application/PGCE application?
Our client secondary schools located in the Bolton areas are looking for confident graduates to join their support team from February to work as a cover supervisor on a long term basis (Part time and full time posts available). This is invaluable paid experience which is the ideal opportunity for those considering a teacher training programme in the future.
As a cover supervisor you will have the opportunity to cover a range of subjects and develop your confidence and experience leading classes. The school wish to appoint graduates who can competently deliver pre-prepared lessons to pupils and ensure pupils stay on task.
The successful applicants for these cover supervisor roles will be motivated and flexible to work across departments and have a real passion for working with young adults at secondary school age.

The role of a cover supervisor is to deliver already set work to students within a classroom setting. The successful cover supervisor won't be expected to plan and mark within this role but will work across departments as the school require. There is also the possible opportunity to tutor students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, further gaining invaluable experience of educating students within the school environment.
This school is an 11-16, mixed community comprehensive school situated on the border of Bolton and Wigan within Bolton Council's boundaries. It is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Chorley, Salford and Wigan.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
