Are you a recent graduate looking for a role within the education sector?

Are you interested in working with secondary school aged students who require further assistance in managing their behaviour?

Our client secondary school in the Chorlton area is looking for a Behaviour Mentor who can work with students aged 11 - 14 who may exhibit challenging behaviour. The successful graduate can be from any degree specialism but should have a passion to work within a secondary school and have suitable experience of working with student with special educational needs.

"We are looking for a suitably experienced graduate who can work with our more vulnerable students in years 7 - 9. As a good school, we find our behaviour policy to be fair and effective and as part of our effective management, we require a Behaviour Mentor who can work closely with our SEN students. The successful Behaviour Mentor will report to our SENCO and work closely with our Support team in working with students who have various needs. Any graduates with experience of working with students with social, emotional and mental health issues or moderate learning difficulties would be beneficial"

Highlights of this Behaviour Mentor position:

  • Earn up to ÂŁ1250 per month depending on experience
  • Support students with various SEN at this highly supportive secondary school
  • Full time graduate behaviour mentor position starting as soon as possible in September/October of the new academic year
  • Gain valuable experience for a future teaching application

The school are looking for a confident graduate who is able to adapt to any situation. The successful graduate will be flexible is supporting challenging students, undertaking activities to ensure they stay on task and follow the rules and behaviour policy of the school.

If you have any experience in supporting young students or have fulfilled the role of a Learning Support Assistant, Mentor or TA previously, then this would be an ideal role for you.

The school is situated in the Chorlton area of Manchester city centre, making it very easily accessible from the city centre via Metrolink and local buses. The school boasts fantastic facilities and is housed in a new building with state of the art technology.
