Geography Teacher
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Our client secondary school is looking to recruit a Geography teacher to join them for a term's supply work starting in February. This all girls school situated in the South of Manchester requires an excellent classroom practitioner to cover an absent teacher who is due to have an operation and will therefore be unable to teach for the remainder of the Spring term and most of the Summer term.
This is a full time teaching position on a supply basis which will involve planning and marking.
Highlights of this teaching position:
- Full time Geography teaching position starting in February
- Teach in an all girls school with a fantastic reputation and a part of the local community
- 'Outstanding' school as graded by Ofsted
This outstanding school values teachers who are knowledgeable in their chosen field but who can also manage students without having to impose themselves too much. The school specifically doesn't want an over-bearing teacher of Geography but someone who can follow the schools policies and procedures and teach engaged students.
The school boasts excellent facilities and is located in the South of Manchester. For those living in the city centre or nearby, they can travel to the school via public transport very easily by bus or tram. For those Geography teachers who drive, you will be able to get to the school very easily as the A6, M60 and A57 are all very nearby this school.
- Work within a highly supportive Humanities department
- Teach girls who are engaged in their learning
If you are a Geography teacher looking for a long term teaching position for the majority of the remainder of the academic year, then apply now with your latest up-to-date CV.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
